PEI Chowder Seasoning
Size: 20g
A versatile and delicious blend perfect for making Clam, Seafood, or Corn Chowder. This gluten-free seasoning mix includes dehydrated vegetables such as garlic, onion, chives, bell peppers, leek, tomato, and carrots, along with sea salt. It contains no MSG, making it a flavorful and healthy choice for your chowder recipes.
Directions for Sensational PEI Clam Chowder (Serves 4-6)
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp (30ml) butter
- 4 medium potatoes, finely diced
- 1/4 Vidalia (or other sweet onion), finely diced
- 2 carrots, grated (optional)
- 2 x 5oz (142g) cans clams
- 2 cups (500ml) milk
- 2 cups (500ml) 10% blend cream
- 1-1/2 tbsp (15-22.5ml) PEI Chowder Seasoning (or to taste)
Instructions:
- Sauté the onion in butter in a heavy pot for about 5 minutes.
- Add juice from the cans of clams, grated carrots, and diced potatoes. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes, until potatoes are soft. Stir occasionally.
- Coarsely mash the potatoes. Add clams and PEI Chowder Seasoning. Cook clams for 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in milk and cream. Carefully increase heat until the mixture is piping hot (but do not boil).
- Serve in bowls, optionally topped with a pat of butter.
For Seafood Chowder: Add raw scallops, crab, white fish, or cooked shrimp/salmon to the clam chowder base as desired.
For Corn Chowder: Use the liquid from a 12oz (341ml) can of corn niblets plus one cup of water to cook the potatoes. Add milk and cream, then stir in the corn niblets and PEI Chowder Seasoning. Heat until hot and serve.

Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Damaged or Defective Items
